Next, work on the new film reveals some of the character designs I’ve created for it, including a varied cast of creatures and monsters that are always fun to draw. First drawn on paper, then photographed and then I add colors and more shading in Krita on my computer.

And following the parasite theme of City of Rott, I created a short “documentary style” Fluke Parasite film, that covers what happens if someone eats an infected Snail filled with Fluke parasites or eggs. A horrible reality of Earth, parasites can be for many creatures and even humans.

Make Your Own Movie: How to feel Motivated for a Project or Feature Length Movie Creation!!

How to stay inspired and motivated when making a major Animated Feature Length Movie on your own, by Frank Sudol © March 16, 2023 HOW TO STAY MOTIVATED? by F. Sudol If you lose all motivation and ambition to complete a project, it’s often because it feels more like a chore than something fun or worthwhile. Here is what helped me create and complete many large feature-length animated films on my own:

1. Make it FUN again. Adjust something, make it easier to complete.

2. Remember that your ambitious goal requires dedication and hard work.

3. One Small Step At a Time. If a task is frustrating or boring or a roadblock, reduce it to the smallest step and complete one tiny step each day. Keep progressing!

4. If you missed your deadline completion goal, set a new realistic time frame.

5. Reduce Distractions of life. Set 30 minutes per day for your project. Stay Focused.

6. Nothing gets finished without action, so keep going!

7. What form of creative expression do you really want to leave behind in life?

8. Start Small, and build up to larger projects to prove you can finish something. Use that as inspiration.

9. Remember what is unique about your project and form of expression.

First, I grew up watching the animated 1980s Dungeons & Dragons Animated series on Saturday Mornings and it quickly became one of my favorite animated shows of all time. With Hasbro making plastic figures but trying to save plastic on packaging, they’ve resorted to box art without showing the figures in a clear, plastic window. Studying the box art, I customized it by cutting out the art of the figures, secured each figure to the cardboard inserts with wiring, then glued in a plastic window so I can see the figure in the great box art design. Since Hasbro wasn’t interested for this great line, although they’re still offering plastic clamshells for the Retro Star Wars line thankfully. A fun project, nothing fancy here, but it’s how I like my collectibles. See the figure behind plastic with the great artwork at the same time.

Being a cartoonist and artist, I’m a sealed carded figure collector of a variety of carded sculpture figures since I started collecting the 1995 line of Star Wars figures in 1996 or so, and slowly built my collection since. These figures which I consider sculptures of art, while kept in storage most times, are inspirations to me as an artist, but also remind me of some of my favorite animated shows and films growing up.
